ティエルエスは、インターネット上でデータを安全に転送するためのプロトコルです。SSLの後継として開発され、通信の暗号化とデータの保護を提供します。現在では「TLSのことも含めてSSLと呼ぶ」または「SSL/TLS」のような併記で使われる事が多いです。
TLS (Transport Layer Security)
TLS is a protocol for securely transferring data over the Internet. Developed as a successor to SSL, it provides encryption of communications and protection of data. Nowadays, it is often used in combinations such as “SSL includes TLS” or “SSL/TLS”.
